Cat Portraiture Tips and Inspiration

Jack Health Report

A quick post with a few smiles from me and our boy Jack after his senior catrobatics on his cat steps, and an art project I am working on, to learn about watercolour and multimedia.

It has taken a week or so, but Jack has finally decided that he can climb up his steps as well as come down. (Down being easier as his front legs work fine.) Here is an earlier shot of him posing proudly after his first climb up the steps when they arrived!

Below is what Jack is doing a lot of now. Napping! He naps like a champ and is taking his medicine like a good boy.

This photograph is a closeup lightly dusted with the Mystical filter in Luminar Neo. He looks peaceful and slightly textured. The sun was quite strong so I have lost some of the detail on his nose but I still think its a lovely photo.

Jack is now taking some Astro’s Oil for his kidneys. He may be 20 but there is no reason why I can’t ensure as much kidney function as possible, so Astro’s he gets, wrapped up in Puree Kisses which Jack loves.

Finally, a character to make you smile.

This Troll is part of a year long series of workshops (different projects each week) using mixed media, watercolour and other art materials. The classes are with Tamara Laporte of Willowing Arts. This is the kind of lovely creatures Tam makes (it’s a cat)! She also has some free stuff if you want to check her out.
