On your first visit to the Dash Kitten web site you may see a pop up that notifies you that Dash Kitten uses cookies to comply with EU cookie law regulations. This will only appear once. This part of the Privacy Policy will most likely be seen by our European friends.

We do NOT approve of the ‘opting out’ policy used by some websites. These compel you to notify them of your wishes. Especially when they do not make their opt-out clear.   • Comments are moderated a specific number of times (8) then you can comment freely and without restriction.
  • There is an opt-out check out box as an integral part of every contact form used on this blog.
  • We use the anonymising code from Google to anonymise IP addresses. An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
  • Dash Kitten hosts affiliate links on some of its posts. These are clearly marked in the post as affiliate links and the correct ”rel=nofollow” rules are applied. Sponsored posts adhere to American FTC guidelines.

  • Embedded Content from other sites:  Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. Our preferred video host is Vimeo.
  • If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. Our rules are simple. In order to ensure we have a fulfillling and educational blog:-

  • If you disagree with something, keep your response brief and courteous. People rarely read very long responses to a blog post and they do not read ‘rants’.
