IMPORTANT NOTICE: Dash Kitten, and Marjorie Dawson do not keep copies of your email address. This blog will never sell your personal details to anyone nor would we work with anyone who expected this. We comply with current EU directives.

We do NOT approve of the ‘opting out’ policy many websites use which forces YOU to notify THEM of your wishes.

  • We do not save your IP address. We use a plugin that specifically removes these from our blog.
  • Dash Kitten does not store your email unless you are part of our mailing list.
  • If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave a later comment.  It is not obligatory.

  • Comments are moderated a specific number of times (8) then you can comment freely and without restriction.
  • There is an opt-out check out box as an integral part of every contact form used on this blog.
  • We use the anonymising code from Google to anonymise IP addresses. An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
  • Dash Kitten hosts affiliate links on some of its posts. These are clearly marked in the post as affiliate links and the correct ”rel=nofollow” rules are applied. Sponsored posts adhere to American FTC guidelines.

  • Embedded Content from other sites:  Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. Our preferred video host is Vimeo.
  • If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.
