So Many Thank You’s

First, thank you to everyone for the expressions of sorrow on us losing our wonderful boy Jack. There have been so many. As you all know he was 20 and we are so proud of our boy. What surprised us was the generosity of Jack’s friends.

Our friend and colleague Cathrine and Bionic Basil’s B Team, who are known to so many of you, gifted us a wonderful portrait of Jack and Basil across the Bridge. As you know Cathrine writes wonderful stories and runs a special blog for the B Team. It moved me to tears. Jack looks young and happy and, as he was in life, positive and relaxed.

Then our friend mr.rory.one.fang who we got to know on Instagram as a fellow senior who reaches 19 this Sunday, sent us a portrait. Jack and Rory along with their colleague Badger the Dirtcat have been a quietly supportive trio.

  • Please if you are on IG go and wish Rory a happy birthday (he is a bit under the weather).

Friend Ingrid created an absolutely beautiful memorial which is all gingery and fresh. Isn’t Jack looking so good here?

Finally, not a gifted portrait but a portrait done by a colleague on Blue Sky who creates cute portraits to earn money for rent and to pay for her cats. I commissioned a light-hearted portrait of Jack before he fell ill. It is quirky and different but, I think, a gently touching memorial to our fine boy and it makes me smile.

I confess the week has been empty with no more – giving medicines – tempting Jack to eat – convince him he did not eat this kind of food this morning (honestly). I don’t see his little face as he looks down the corridor while he listens to Paul fixing his breakfast and favourite goats milk.

Thank you, everyone for your kind words. Your expressions of sadness and loss. Jack was a wonderful model for the blog and I have some beautiful photographs. I will miss my Jicky-Jack the Kitten Cat.

  1. I did resend you Jack’s memento/memorial image earlier today, to the address you gave me. Also there is a post with it, ( July 15th)…so you can also ‘snag’ it from there.

Those other pictures are sweet, too. Losing a furry one, never goes unnoticed in the blogosphere.

I hope your computer woes are soon resolved. If you use an outside server for your email, shouldn’t everything still be there to retrieve? (on the original address you last used with them…)

Anyways, sending much love and oodles of big hugs.
    🥰 ❤️ 🥰
