Not the most positive update for now. This is from our Instagram post as I can’t cope with rewriting it again.
Jack’s x-Ray shows his left leg is almost in fragments at the top – hence the limp. The vet gave us a few options:
- Amputation if he is strong enough.
- Vet speaks to a surgeon for an opinion (they will need more x-rays – Monday)
- Jack reaches the end of his journey.
OUR THOUGHTS ?? We have the weekend to see how Jack copes. We do not believe he is ready to go yet but he is very quiet so we don’t know.
With our tortie Sienna we definitely felt she was winding down. He is bright eyed but quiet in spite of his damaged leg.
We gave him a sponge bath Friday a.m. and he was grumpy but is now clean with another ‘bath’ maybe scheduled for Sunday (it depends). I am going to research tripods and Jack is insured so there is no financial pressure. We are fighting on so, PLEASE KEEP HOPEFUL
Jack will tell us when he is ready.
