Last Minute Foster Kittens – A Portrait

Just before Christmas I got a message from my local cat rescue. Can you take in a couple of kittens that a lady had discovered? Of course I said yes, so we have ended up with some last minute foster kittens for Christmas. As you can imagine, today’s post is rather kitten photo ‘heavy’! I have also added the video using the kittens for Remember Me Thusday 2024.

The kittens are small but litter trained, very friendly and lively. The easiest photos I have been able to take are with my smartphone rather than my larger bulky DSLR.

There are suspicions the pair have been dumped but their story is, as yet unclear except they are safe, well fed and causing mayhem at Dash Kitten.

The tabby is a little girl and the (smaller) dark kitten is a boy. As yet they don’t have names, because I couldn’t think of anything.

They have tiny little meows and can climb up the crate sides like little monkeys. The adult cats are either baffled by them or ignore them.

The pair are happy spending a lot of time playing in their crate with time out on laps for cuddles and wriggly socialising as well as plenty of kitten food to build them up.

Kitten Mischief

The best trick so far for one of our last minute foster kittens is walking on Dash Kitten dad’s iPad mini while he was busy! Thankfully no harm was done to iPad or kitten! I am not sure the little girl can read upside down!

The kittens were not expected but have been a lot of fun and my new smartphone camera has been getting lots of practice!

Merry Christmas everyone!

What a pair of cutie pies!!
Their triangular faces have me wondering if there is some oriental in their heritage? Who knows, its their secret…(Esp, the little black boy made me think that way.)

They sure know how to steal all the attention of Foster Dad, LOL!
