You may remember our photograph of Taz and Paul where Taz looked at dad with so much affection. This photograph appeared earlier this week as part of another post but I want to spotlight it here for folks who visit for the Sunday Selfies.
Taz was sat on one of our dining chairs cooling off after some time in the sunny garden. Paul stopped to say hello to his favourite black cat and Taz responded enthusiastically to the greeting.
Why do I like this photo so much?
It is such a natural photograph and you don’t notice the background because it doesn’t matter that much. Old DVD’s and that’s about it (and yes, we do still watch them!) your attention is focused on one loving black cat saying hi to his cat dad. It’s very much in line with the ‘authentic’ idea I wrote about on Thursday.
I was carrying my smartphone, spotted the opportunity and snapped the shot. You can do it too so, when will you take your own ‘loving shot’?

It is a great picture. The element of stillness, focus and movement in Paul’s hands seems to elevate it. They both look really chilled, too.
