Nau mai ki te Pihono Kitten*. My name is Marjorie Dawson. I am a blogger, cat lover, photographer and smartphone movie enthusiast based in New Zealand.
*Hello, Welcome to Dash Kitten.
After a life of government and corporate sector work in England, the family settled into a quiet corner of New Zealand’s North Island in the Hutt Valley, close to the ‘coolest little capital’ Wellington. New Zealand is home to some of the world’s most stunning scenery including the landscapes seen in the Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit movies.
My blogging journey has seen Dash Kitten blog grow from a cat family’s adventures here in ‘Middle Earth’ to a web site encouraging beginners to develop and improve their photography skills. Dash Kitten shares the fun of creating quality images and smartphone movies like Dusty’s, and through the Crew of New Zealand cats’ stories. My older posts are still treasured and, because of this, have not been removed as Dash Kitten enjoys its development as a photography blog.
NOTE: Individual photo settings are being added to older posts, by popular request. If a picture does not have settings yet and you want to know what they are, contact me through the site here or by email.
I believe that everyone can create wonderful pictures they are proud of regardless of the camera they use and without judging themselves as good or bad. An image captures a moment with the cats you love. It has no rules, no restrictions and no boundaries but it does capture a world of life experiences and memories.
Sharing, Learning, Fun.
Te tohatoha, te ako, te ngahau.
