Try Something Different With Your Cat Photos (Filter)

26/03/2020 by Marjorie Dawson 16 Comments

These are interesting times and there are many more people who may be surfing the ‘net wondering what to do with their time right now. Can I suggest that you try something different with pet photos!

I wanted to inspire pet lovers to keep active and enjoy their home time within the limits you may have been set.

I have researched previous photo posts to find a couple of things you can try with your camera, whether its a Smartphone, DLSR or Compact.

Have You Thought of Black & White Photos?

I am guessing not so this post might be an eye-opener. Black and white photography needs a bit of ‘thinking differently’ but it can be so much fun and surprise yourself a lot.

Be inspired in black and white with your photography

Filters in Your Photo Software or Photo App

Filters can transform your photograph into an amazing portrait, or dramatic image that will blow your friends away on social media.

If you have felt nervous about the results a filter can give, check out this post. A filter can add a touch of colour or restructure your image entirely depending on the software you use.

Whatever you do, have fun exploring and you can create something like this!

I hope these posts will set you thinking about making your own pet pictures and try something different today.

After I catch up with judging the CWA contest entries, I’m going to begin experimenting more with my cameras – both phone and Nikon DSL. Thank you for the tips you are providing.

I hope so! Not everyone is an expert, and not everyone wants to be. But everyone wants to take better pet photos!

I never really thought about black and white but I played with a black and white filter on one of Plush’s that I didn’t love and now it’s one of my favorites.

I don’t often employ black and white in my professional images. I spent a long time in a newspaper career and I got very bored with black and white. I probably should shift my mindset on it.

I love Black and White Photography, there is something so powerful about the photos then. My goal next week is to start playing with my new camera and getting better pictures of Madam. Be safe and thanks for the blog hop

Maybe set a little time aside when they play in the garden. Get some fun action shots.
