Hello, everyone, my name is Harvey and it’s my role this year to welcome you to the Dash Kitten Christmas Card.
I am a stage 3 kidney cat who is counting my blessings and my good fortune to have been welcomed into the Dash Kitten home when, as a senior, I held out little hope of a happy end to my days as I sat in a crate at the rescue.
I was wrong. I have been swept away by the warmth of everyone’s love and support since my adoption, for which I am grateful. Thank you all.
I could have asked Mum to post one of the pictures from years ago, a fluffy me, a cute me, maybe one with ears but no. This is me now, as I am, and ready to enjoy a fabulous Christmas with the family I love, and who cope with my Stage 3 Kidney trials patiently and with love.
Every cat should be so lucky
I want to thank the friends I make every day, and the cats I greet each week, oh and the pups as well on this Christmas Day Pet Parade.
Thank you to Basil’s B Team for their wonderful graphics and their wonderful blog posts full of puzzles and crafts and fun, and to Bentley and Pierre for being such great dog bloggers who are a pleasure to read when they are Barking from the Bayou. Who could ask for better Hop companions?
If you are alone for Christmas, or if you are just not into Christmas for reasons of your own, I hope you will be able to stop by online or say hello to the many Twitter pals who will be partying under the hashtag #CatmasEve on Christmas Eve in Britain and America.
If you need someone to chat to over Christmas, don’t be a stranger. Leave us a comment and we can email a friendly greeting.
