Hello everyone, it’s Dusty here with an update on my vet visits this week.
I have been given fluids, which Mum will continue at home, and prednisone and I will continue to blog as long as I remain Mum’s muse and inspiration, it could be weeks or days, we don’t know.
We want to say how thankful we are for your affection and your support. You all know I am a little boney soul and my time as a blogger is limited but we have so much to celebrate – I found Mum and Dad, my forever family, I have found you all. We are so thankful.
I have told Mum that she is to visit you all on the Thursday hop this week as we have missed people for a couple of weeks and Brian’s hop is one that needs celebration and most importantly support and friendly blogging faces celebrating, even if it’s not every week.
We cats all have things we are thankful for, maybe a catnip mouse, a freeze-dried treat, a sun puddle or a walk outside in the fresh air. We on the Dash Kitten blog are thankful for Friendship, across the miles or kilometres, from our readers.
Friendship is a magical thing so I say, as a frail little old guy, celebrate your friends and, if you blog, your readers. You may never meet them but they are real, they sit down, they spend time reading your blog. They are as complete a part of your life as the events you experience closer to home.
Open your heart and be a friend, you will not regret it.
Dusty’s First Health Report.
I have late stage renal failure so I am not well, but I am getting antibiotics for my runny digestion and Mum is going to learn how to hydrate me. I am still perky, thin as a stick, but lively and engaged with Mum and Dad, so I am not gone yet! Mum’s not a needle person but for me, she is prepared to walk the extra mile or five thousand……
The blood panel has me down as poorly kidneys and also liver issues (which we knew were hovering there somewhere) so we are talking gentle healing and comfort care. This is fine by me, I am doing OK, I wander about, I sleep a lot and the youngsters don’t pester me overmuch; although Miranda is fond of my Jimbo’s raw * grins*.
I am happier, and more thankful, than I have ever been
With a cosy heated bed and more food than I can eat what’s not to love about home eh?
I never thought I would end up a blogging cat writing about automatic cat feeders, and encouraging everyone to discuss how renal food needs improvement! This is all quite something for an oldster to take in 🙂
I will be contributing to the blog as long as I am feline fit so I am not gone yet, and your cheering comments on Twitter and Facebook mean more than we can say. Thank you.
Yours in friendship
