Meet serious Olive the tabby posing for today’s Pet Parade. It’s number 276 already so thank you for joining us and making the Dash Kitten Crew feel so welcome. We have a wonderful image and a terrible story for you this week.
We are a worldwide blogging community and halfway across the world cats are in desperate trouble. Sir Snowy and his family have been robbed of a huge amount of charity funds by an evil person they trusted, the charity accountant. Your Christmas spirit and sharing are urgently needed,
Welcome to Pet Parade 277
I hope you will share some of your Wordless Wednesday pictures and your Wordy Wednesday posts from Instagram, Facebook and Tweets too. We love to RT and share our friends’ posts, and thank everyone for being part of the Parade. Join co-hosts Bionic Basil and Barking from the Bayou to enjoy this week’s wonderful Pet Parade and meet Olive.
Olive is still gaining confidence at the cat cafe. She is beginning to come out of her shell though and patiently sat for a portrait while I adjusted by DSLR camera to close up mode. If the Dash Kitten Crew were so patient I would have had one of them this week. Next week, I am hoping to have one of the Crew to feature.
Meet Fun Loving Sir Snowy
Snowy and his family live in Italy and battle constantly against the abuse and neglect of cats. They were on their way to starting work in a proper rescue centre when they were robbed. The crime is even worse because it was committed by a person they trusted – an accountant. They have a lively portal to the rescue here and you can see their plans and hopes. It’s not a working blog but a snapshot of their hopes.
You know the worst? The Italian police don’t even care. Snowy’s mum Judy is not ‘Italian’ so why should they care if she was robbed?
BUT WE DO CARE!
Dash Kitten has already donated to the Go Fund Me and invite you to do the same.
The injustice is terrible and no one even seems to care in Italy. The plans for a rescue centre and fundraising cafe are now paralysed. Snowy’s mom’s words and they will wrench your heart:
“Sir Snowy is a non-profit helping abused, abandoned, and disabled kitties. Our accountant absconded with 20,000 Euro (about $23,000US). These funds pay for housing, food, vet bills, heat & electricity. We will not let these kitties down no matter what. They depend on us. I’ve been physically attacked and beaten, my family has been threatened. Rocks, not little stones, have been launched against me, my family, my house and the kitties I help, those who I care for outside as there’s no room inside anymore.” – Judy, Snowy’s Mom.
