Roughly this time two years ago (16th August approx.) Stokes Valley and the rest of Wellington suffered what became known as ‘Snowmageddon’. After some sunny summers to find a winter like this cause everyone on the hop!
Many of you may think, snow * shrug * no big deal, what you won’t know is that the area has not seen snow for 30 years! Snowmageddon in certainly is!
Imagine the impact of this snow on younger members of the community, seeing snow for the first time ever!
Dad had driven to the station that day, and mum had to text him to say, drive carefully, we are snowbound! Did we cats like it? No, we didn’t! and we could not wait for it to disappear MOL!
I can’t wait for summer to get out in the garden again.
See you soon Snowmageddon folks.
OMC! Dash, did that help you get ready for Finland??? just wondering…heh..heh
We can’t wait until it’s snow time here, even if we hardly ever get any. It’s snuggling time for us! Purrs…
30 years??? Goodness! It could be quite scary if you’ve never seen it before!!
Wow! My human is still waiting for the first L.A. snowstorm in her lifetime – last century, I think there was snow here two or three times, but the last time was in the early 1950s.
Wow, snow for the first time in 30 years is something else! It doesn’t snow here, but if it suddenly did, nobody would know how to drive in it because they didn’t have practice, and it would be a big mess. We hope your snow melts soon.
We have had some very late and early snow here in Pennsylvania USA too. Odd things are happening
OMC! I can’t imagine not seeing snow for 30 years! LOL Be careful, stay safe, and enjoy it!
It is ALWAYS fun when people never have seen snow and then…there it is!
