Middle-Earth Christmas New Zealand Style

Middle-Earth Christmas New Zealand Style

Merry Christmas, New Zealand style to our blogging friends and readers worldwide.  While you struggle through snowdrifts and drizzling rain – pity the poor outdoor cat faced with all this sunshine 😉

Walk alongside Waitangi Park, looking towards Roseneath and Oriental Bay.

Mum went to see the last Hobbit film ‘Battle of the Five Armies’, on Christmas Eve at the Embassy, where the first Hobbit movie was premiered, and took these pictures before heading in for a tasty summer supper at the cinema. It looks the same today on Boxing Day, just ask friend Rumblepurr who lives nearby!

One special treat was seeing part of Hobbit Costume Trail – Bifur,Bofur and Bombur. We intend to blog about this in detail in 2015 and show some of the wonderful work in close-up images. Many of our crafty friends will delight in the superb work of 3Foot7 Workshop – so here’s a taster.

With best wishes for a good Christmas

  1. We think we would enjoy that kind of Christmas. 🙂 We can’t really complain … it was 50 degrees and sunny here, which is very warm for this time of year. 🙂

Glad you had such a good Christmas celebration, sweet pals! Hugs!

  2. We must be havin’ a New Zealand Christmas up here in Canada. Christmas Day was in the mid to high teens (Celcius) and rainin’. POURIN’. Today, the sun is out and it’s super windy but and eight degrees. Not a trace of the white stuff in sight. Somebody forgot this is Canada!!!

    MERRY CHRISTMAS my friends!

  3. Aiiieee!!! Don’t let Mom L know you saw the movie. She cannot go and is devastated. She hopes they release before the oscars. Hope you all found something you liked in your Secret Paws package. I tried to make sure Mom L and DadP used the list you sent Miss Paula. Happy holidays, Savvy and Sage
