Ingrid Trinka Two Years Ago Today

We lost our lovely friend Ingrid Trinka two years ago today, and we repost our tribute from last year which shows our love and appreciation of a dear friend who was loved by so many, it speaks from our heart. We present here again, in memory of a truly kind soul. #RememberingIngrid.

Ingrid Trinka Two Years Ago Today

A year ago today the anipal world lost a dear friend, one who is still missed – Ingrid Trinka. Today her Twitter friends will be using the hashtag #RememberingIngrid in her honour. Dana has made a Storify on the tweets here.

Ingrid was @NoCryBabyDogs on Twitter, and was also the creator of wonderful cards and beautiful magnets. She was an huge support to grieving pet parents and when Dash was killed we received, unprompted, memorial magnets and some beautiful cards – those cards are still beside our desk now, they mean such a lot. Dana and TigerBoy’s mums are keeping the shop going (all proceeds to good causes) in Ingrid’s memory.

We miss you Ingrid, but we are glad that little Daffy dog found a wonderful home with friend @Danapixie. See our report on the amazing #4Legs4Daffy. Thanks to Ingrid and Dana’s foresight Daffy had a safe home when Ingrid passed away, and I know Ingrid would want us to urge you to make provision for your own pets no matter how young or old you are, do it soon.

  1. I remember I won cards from her around this time last year. She told me she was in the hospital and I told her I didn’t really need the cards but she insisted. I’m glad Daffy found a home with Dana and is so loved.

  3. Dearest Ingrid …sadly missed and alsays will be. What a journey for love of Ingrid to bring Daffy safely to her new home. How she has flourished and taken to her new life. Ingrid will be smiling in heaven!
