Humour in a Cat Photo

28/07/2019 by Marjorie Dawson 12 Comments

I just had to share this accidental photo selfie!

Sienna (tortie) and Miranda (tuxie) were meant to be a double Twofer portrait on our back deck. Perfect for the Kitties Blue I thought. But no….

They heard a sound * clatter * and this is what I got!

It’s why I called the post ‘humour in a cat photo’!

Humour in a cat photo - WHAT!?!?!

For those with DSLR and high-end compact cameras, I used Av mode. This is where the camera chooses the shutter speed to match the given aperture and you choose the F-stop.

I just took the chance so, if you need to know, the shutter speed was F 6.3. Honestly? This was a ‘seize the day’ accident I am happy to share it as it. I hope it encourages you to capture your cat’s moments to share and treasure.

Finally, I wonder how many of you have taken an accidental picture and it turned out much better than you expected?

I know I am really pleased with my twofer of Sienna and Miranda!

That turned out to be a nice kind of kitty action!

I have a picture of my oldest son, taken on a whim, and it turned out beautifully…that was with an old regular 35mm camera. No digitals back in those days. I did not know how it was going to turn out till I saw it…don’t seem to hsve that kind of luck with my furry ones…sigh…Pipo esp almost always plays hard to get, by hiding his face if he can…If I trick him to look up, and am fast enough maybe I get a good image, maybe not! I think there are 100 fails for any one good enough one…and 1000 bad ones for one really good one, MOL!

That is a sweet photo! Not many of my ‘accidental’ photos turn out, but some do and they’re always the most fun.

That has turned out very well indeed, given what it should have been. A photo fail success, and a fun selfie, too, of two. MOL
    Have a great week
