Here in New Zealand we have left level four, the highest lockdown level. This means that we can move slightly further outside our usual ‘bubble’ to collect take away food from cafes and restaurants and, thanks to Silver, have a celebratory head bonk or two.
Specially-Abled Pets Day
Cats who are differently abled, three legged, blind, deaf or with Cerebellar Hypoplasia need homes just like able bodied cats. One day or even one year, would never long enough to tell you how wonderful every single ‘less than perfect’ cats are and how much they need our help.
Consider one and get the most precious head bonks ever.
Silver Sends Head Bonks to All
Silver was enjoying some sunshine time and wanted a cuddle. This usually involved giving a lot of head bonks until he realised dad was holding a camera. Dad Paul took some fun photos.
So today’s official selfie is myself and Silver enjoying the late afternoon sun after our house painting guy left for the day. ‘Tradies’ as they are called have been allowed to get back to work mending and building which is great news for us and our house painting can be finished.
A Level Three Celebration
We celebrated the move to level three here in New Zealand by supporting our favourite cat cafe Neko Ngeru and ordering sushi and handmade cat shaped biscuits!
- [Cafes and restaurants are permitted to do contactless delivery or collection so we took a welcome short drive out to collect our tasty treasures!]
Check out the fresh tuna sushi handmade in the cafe especially made for us. What a delicious treat and we are also supporting a local business in these challenging times.
Are you able to support your local small companies by shopping there rather than at big box stores?
