Although I took this photograph of Miranda with my DSLR, the same rule applies for effective cat photos with any camera you choose (smartphone or compact cameras work just as well). Get down at cat level for an effective shot that you want to show off!
The neighbours must have thought I had lost my mind when I decided to get down at cat level on the drive, camera in hand and pointed my telephoto lens at Miranda. She was laid on the warm tarmac cleaning the fur of her paw and I was able to take a series of shots of which this is the best.
I focused on her eye from about 5 metres/25 feet away and held the camera steady then pressed the shutter for a series of rapid shots. So, the recommendation to get down at cat level for a successful photograph worked.
Miranda’s Dental Surgery
Tomorrow Miranda goes to have dental surgery for a couple of teeth that are being reabsorbed which can be painful. Your hopes or prayers for a successful operation would be most welcome.
(UPDATE: 2 extractions and all is well so far!)
Tooth resorption is a process by which the dentin (a hard tissue that lies beneath the enamel of the tooth) in a tooth (or teeth) erodes and eventually becomes irreparably destroyed. Over time, all areas of an affected tooth may become involved.VCA Hospitals
