Dash Kitten join Brian’s weekly Thankful Thursday blog hop with a close up of one of the flowers in our garden, and a chance to practice my DSLR camera skills!
As regular readers know it’s summer here in the Southern Hemisphere so we have some seriously warm weather. This is the opposite of the icy British chill and the polar vortex currently sweeping America.
These events put our friends and readers at risk so please be careful. Stay warm as much as you can and put out shelters for feral cats, and food for the birds.
We are grateful for our own warm weather and the wonderful flowers and trees around us at this time of year.
The flower in this photograph is, I think, a kind of Calla Lilly. I will add the camera information for newbie budding photographers learning alongside me. There are other lily photographs here.
My camera settings were Av mode, F5.6. I hardly had to adjust the image at all.
Have a good and safe week. Northern Hemisphere folk keep warm and Southern friends, stay cool and hydrated.
