City to the Sea Bridge Meet Beth

City to the Sea Bridge Meet Beth

On a visit to Wellington this week, we met two ladies with their stunning cat. We stopped and greeted ‘Beth’, who had a simple but secure harness and was walking on it with great confidence. Beth was an absolutely beautiful longhaired cat who look a real liking to Mum’s shoes! The lady kindly picked Beth us so Mum could squee say hello!

It was fun to meet a cat having a walk rather than the usual dog on a leash. We also thought this would be the perfect guest selfie!

We met Beth and her family on the City to the Sea Bridge. This crosses over a busy road (Jervois Quay) and leads to the harbourside with nice views towards the Hutt Valley, and along the waterfront. The bridge was created by Matchitt, Gray, and Thompson – you can find more details here.

We hope you can join us this week for The Cat on My Head Sunday Selfie hop, one of the nicest and most fun hops ever!

P.S. If you want a peep at what Mum looks like and sounds like, head over to her interview for BlogPaws!

  1. Aw, my girl! It was so nice to meet you, thank you for writing such a lovely post and I’m very glad I checked in on the site to see if anything had been posted 🙂

Here are some other pics of bb Beth out in the Wellington waterfront area enjoying the summer in the past few months. She’s nearly nine months old now and will be a big girl (the breed – Siberian – is large. She’s hypoallergenic; I’m very allergic to cats). She’s been out on daily walks since early February (five months old-ish).

  2. What a pretty kitty!

Andy goes to the doctor on a harness (’cause the peep can’t get him in the crate) but he won’t walk on it. Peep #1 says he’d look so handsome walking on the harness but instead, she ends up carrying him. MOUSES!

  3. Beth is a sweetie! It’s interesting that more cats are being seen out and about on leash these days. We enjoyed your interview for Blog Paws! Won’t that be fun for you to experience! I’ve been twice but couldn’t make it this year.I’m sorry I’ll miss you 🙁

  4. Wot a gawjus kitty! *admires* We love reading about Wellington, too. I think I told you Nan lived there twice (1976-79 and again in 1982-83) so she really enjoys seeing how it has changed and evolved. (Aunty, that linky didn’t work for Nan)

  5. I’m just teaching Popoki to walk on a leash, and she absolutely loves it. Right now, she just walks around the back yard. And that seems like enough for her. But we might do neighborhood walks when she gets braver. We’ll see!

  6. I wish my human would take me out walking like Beth’s humans do, but she is too protective of me, and is very careful where she takes me on leash.

  7. How fun to meet a kitty out for a walk. And thanks for sharing that with us for the hop. Mom will check out the interview tomorrow. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
