I make no apology for spotlighting one of my favourite photographs from Neko Ngeru Cat Adoption Cafe to celebrate their re-opening now we have entered Level 2 of New Zealand’s lockdown.
Our Favourite Cat Cafe
It is not just ‘business as usual’ for New Zealand shops and cafe’s opening under the level 2 lockdown. The Government is making sure we are still social distancing and respecting people’s ‘bubbles’ or family/social units.
Our favourite cat cafe is limiting the number of visitors but offering its full range of tasty food and drink. The first weekend has been a busy one, as you can imagine.
This is proprietor Richelle Okada with the ‘boss cat’ Tiger lily. Can you guess she loves her mom to the moon and back? I think so.

The Biggest Bonus? Kittens
There are five new kittens cats at the cafe I don’t think remaining seated when you visit will be very hard. Kittens are super curious after all. Betta and Kappa, as well as ginger Peaches, Ladybug and tuxie Gladys, are waiting to welcome you.
