BlogPaws 2018 Surprises

BlogPaws 2018 Surprises

Blogosphere chatter is all about the BlogPaws® Pet Blogging Conference 2018 at the moment. This is quite right as, for pet bloggers, it is one of the major pet blogging events of 2018. A chance to meet with inspiring colleagues and learn new things that will benefit our readers (that’s YOU!)

You might have read about our surprise BlogPaws Finalist places but, we discovered something surprising that we just have to share……

Did you know that the BlogPaws 2018 Nose to Nose Awards have three Finalists who are featured in the Dash Kitten video challenge?

The #DKVideo Challenge was launched to encourage new or beginner video bloggers to create new works and explore a skill unfamiliar to them, such as editing, or slow motion. We did not expect to see them all shining so brightly and taking the blogosphere by storm at BlogPaws 2018.

Cathy Armato and Icy are dog bloggers from Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them. They have been generous supporters of the Dash Kitten Crew with their kind words. Cathy and Icy (and Phoebe!) showed us their first video adventures here on the blog. Dogs Luv Us is up for Best Sponsored Video and we reckon no-one is more thrilled than Cathy and ourselves!

Valentine from Noir Kitty Mews and mom Kerry created a video packed with humour that allowed them to learn new things, and have a lot of fun. They made the Crew giggle with Valentine’s cracker antics. Valentine is up for Best Humour Blog at BlogPaws 2018.

Chirpy Cats created a playful and fun video for our challenge and made all of our readers smile. OK, maybe Sly Pie did, and his mum learned a lot creating her video. Chirpy Cats are up for Best Cat Blog and Best Branding.

BlogPaws 2018 ConCATulations

Good luck to our fantastic video entrants taking part in the BlogPaws Nose to Nose Awards. You are amazing!

The Awards take place on Friday 20th of April at the BlogPaws conference. We believe the Awards will be live-streamed on YouTube (and will confirm when we know). Who would have dreamed so many of our inspired bloggers would go on to such fantastic things in the Nose to Nose Awards!

Bloggers Pushing Boundaries

These adventurous bloggers willingness to explore and push their boundaries is so exciting to see. If you want to take a look at their wonderful videos submitted to our Challenge, check them out here.

  • The 2018 #DKVideo Challenge is at the planning stage and we hope to engage a sponsor so we can offer a prize too. We are also preparing a minute mini movie makers series so watch out for that too!

The potential list of challenges is a work in progress, so we welcome your video challenge ideas for 2018! What theme would you choose?

  1. You’re so sweet to give us shutouts! Your Video Challenge was so helpful to me, I know I’ve said that before. You’re encouragement was priceless, I’m not sure I would have worked so hard without your words in my mind! I’m so thrilled for both of us being video Finalists this year! I can’t wait to see you there.
    Love and biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them

  2. Mom and I are jumping with joy that your have been recognized by BlogPaws in not one but 3 “cat”-egories! CONCATS CONCATS CONCATS!

I am excited that you plan to do another video challenge! It was super fun last time! Mom Kerry (not Kelly) needs a lot more practice taking videos of me, so we’ll be sure to enter again! She is ready to try out some more of your tips.

  3. Wow, I am so, so impressed by the talents and energy of all the great bloggers you mention above and we send BIG congratulations to every one! GREAT videos (oh, how I wish I could have a lesson with all of you!), and every kitty in every one a hugable, snuggleable darling.
    Love from Loulou

  4. You did well, challenging them…and petcretary did not even try…sigh…but then she has way too little time. Her new skill achievement will be to try and master some of the tricky things on her newly installed Photoshop Elements program… Concats to all your proteges!

  5. Congratulations!
That is so wonderful that 3 of your “graduates” have been so successful!
    You are a wonderful mentor!
We are hoping we have an opportunity to expand our scope this year…it all depends on the work schedule!.
    Love barb and Marv
