It’s time for July’s roundup of photographic posts and I want to celebrate another month of learning about photography by sharing a black cat photo success.
I have an ongoing project photographing black fur as it is a challenge. I know many cat and dog photographers face this too and I blogged about it late last year. I will be adding to that post now I have learned a more.
The Story Behind The Black Cat Photo Success
This is Jack who came to the cat cafe for a holiday. The chance to take a vacation is a unique privilege for former residents while their families go away.
Jack raced up the floor to ceiling scratch post and, after pausing at the top, he almost flew back down. I was fortunate to have reasonably good settings on my camera for his descent as you can see. I have more focus on his face and a frozen pose with his tail out for balance.
Photo Post Roundup for July
Photographs at Wellington Zoo on a warm winter’ day, and the difference shade can make to fur and feather.
I shared the pep talk I gave myself when I got discouraged with myself and my camera. Here’s what I said.
My first attempts at plant closeups when Paul was given an orchid for his Birthday.
You may know that I love filters from my fun posts previously, but this time I wanted to try a ‘postcard’ style photograph and a cat portrait to see what happens
I hope you have been able to catch up on any posts you missed, and I would love to know if you like Jake’s adventurous picture!
