It has been a long time since I did a roundup of photo posts.
I am including some of the best recent beginner’s photo post titles allowing those who feel a bit out of the loop to jump right back in.
Why a terrible picture sometimes matters as much as a perfectly sharp one.
For some reason, your poor pet photo is still a winner in your book because it touches you somehow. Blurry or out of focus it may be but you take your hand away from the delete key. No, you say, I want to keep this one. Fuzzy or not it means something to me.
You don’t print off your photographs? Why not?
This post tells you why printing off at least some of your posts really matters, in spite of the digital age.
And anyway, you can’t smile at the memories on a flash drive.
I am including the photo tribute to Dot Kitten. I did not write a very long post but some of the pictures I included are ones I am proud of. If you did not meet Dash Kitten’s ‘Shouty Cat’, please take a look.
Let me tell you what White Balance is and how it can be useful to everyone, including you as a new photographer.
This is a quick read that should have you reaching for your camera manual.
I have been a member of the Cat Writers’ Association (CWA) for several years and one of the reasons that Dash Kitten has raised its game is due to the inspirational high standards of the CWA Communications Contest.
Only the very best and highest scoring posts, images and videos receive CWA Certificates and the best of these certificate winners are awarded a Muse® Medallion. See how I did in this special post.
BONUS – I am joining the Pet Photo Fails

You may remember my fun photo of Tom raising his paw at the camera. This was my first try! He looks totally out of focus and out of it!
