I wanted to show you how easy it is to make a short smartphone movie of a member of your cat family or even a foster cat or kitten you are taking care of. My sweet foster kitten Sam is the star of this ginger cat smartphone movie.
How did I make my cat smartphone movie?
I gathered the video clips I had on my smartphone and I am guessing you might have a bundle there too – right? You just load them into your video app or onto your computer and join them together. This is not a Hollywood blockbuster this is you sharing cat fun with friends (or pup fun).
- Vertical and horizontal format was not an issue as this was a fun social share to celebrate a foster. Usually you would stick to one format and only use that.
Trim your clips so they are not too long. About 3-8 seconds works for most video clips but if your video is of something fun or cute happening you give it all the time it needs. If you watch my video of Sam, the pen wrestling and moth chasing both go over the 3-second mark but the still photographs and shorter clips are kept short.
- USEFUL TIP: A news cameraman at Blogpaws® did a video creating workshop. He recommended that shots should be kept to about 3 seconds to keep your viewers interest in the movie.
Sam is filling out as you can see and is becoming super fluffy. What did you think of that tail eh? Don’t forget Valentine Noir Kitty’s Giveaway too!
