Today’s selfie has three parts, our cute BBQ, a portrait of Black and White cat Natasha who you may have seen here, and a rose for Sawyer and his family at the Kitties Blue.
We are having a mixed summer with plenty of glorious days, and the occasional passing storm or strong winds.

The back deck is sheltered from the winds so we can have a BBQ almost anytime we like. The set up only a small one because we have a small family, but it has a really helpful hood that means it can be closed against sniffing noses and prying paws.
A Photograph of Natasha

As you can see, this is not the best of my experiments adjusting camera settings. Although the image is sharp, the greens are extremely bright and while I aim to show my experiment in changing the ISO (film speed) and let you see good stuff, sometimes things don’t work out.
The portrait is not changed from the original shot and I know the colours will look different on PC and Mac computer monitors. What do you think? How does Natasha look?
The colours will need adjusting in an image editing program then I will show you how it might be rescued.
A Rose for Sawyer

Finally, for Sawyer and his loving Mum and Dad, a virtual rose from our garden. The Dash Kitten Crew want to say Get Well Soon buddy, you could not be in better hands and paws.
We must have missed the bbq? But great foto art work. Big hugs
Luv ya’

We love the rose for Sawyer, as he is a beautiful rose too. Hope he gets well soon? Natasha is looking so cute with her little moustache?Pawkisses for a Happy Day???
We wish we had a bbq! I think I would LOVE the nice meats, but we live smack dab in the middle of a crowded and cold-ish city so not many people have yards and stuff. Bummer. Natasha looks great, and we are purring very hard for Sawyer too! XOXOXO
Beautiful photos! That BBQ sure looks tempting after the weather we’re dealing with!
That is a beautiful rose portrait for Sawyer and Natasha is quite pretty.
Editing is my least favorite part of photography.
I once attended Jared Platt’s Lightroom workshop. He said that green is the most difficult color. If you do a lot in editing you’ll be able to tone that color down. He has wonderful tutorials on editing in Lightroom.

All of us here are wishing the best for sawyer. I think your portrait is quite good. I don’t think the greens are too bright. Nothing is washed out and the contrast seems normal.

Thank you, Charles. I think we can be our own harshest critics cant we?
That is a nice photo of Natasha.
With all the rain and mild temperatures (which are starting to drop now) our greens really are that bright here. If you hadn’t mentioned it I would have assumed they were perfectly natural too.
That is a beautiful rose for Sawyer. I wish him well.
BBQ-worthy weather sounds nice to us right now (wind chills here are supposed to be -25C tonight and tomorow. Brr!). 🙂
We love that beautiful rose for Sawyer, and the photo of Natasha is wonderful. It looks pretty on my MacBook Pro!
Hugs!
What a lovely rose for Sawyer. We hope he’s on the mend, soon. Natasha looks beautiful.
Those were great and we love the rose for sweet Sawyer.

Aww, that rose for Sawyer is a delight and we just wish we could smell its sweet perfume, too. We share our best wishes for his quick recovery.
We’d love to see how you can change the picture, and the end result. We do like natural images and colours so to see how it changes and if it reflects the true life will be fun.
