This picture appeared in a recent post about my new 50mm lens and it is so gorgeous I know you will want to see if you don’t visit the Pet Parade on Wednesdays.

I was lucky to capture Zoe, one of the new intake of kittens at my local cat adoption cafe. A group of students was visiting and kittens love a cuddle so I grabbed my camera and took a rather special portrait.

Why It’s a Rainbow Kitten Selfie

I think the picture looks even more special thanks to the multicoloured top of the student cuddling Zoe, and the light shining in Zoe’s eyes before she falls asleep is a final magical touch.

Rainbow Kitten Selfie. Close up photograph of a kitten. This shows how successful a prime lens can be.

In Memoriam Buddy Budd

I discovered that our friend and colleague Buddy Budd crossed the Bridge on Valentine’s Day. I got to know Buddy Budd and his family on their blog and enjoyed his 20th Birthday party.

Buddy Budd has been a beloved member of the cat community with his family for so long, and our hearts join Buddy’s dad in grief.
