A Leap Towards Happiness

A Leap Towards Happiness

I want us all to be inspired by Jet. I hope we can make a leap towards happiness with a young black cat from my favourite Neko Ngeru Cat Adoption Cafe. You won’t believe how active he is.

The cafe is currently filled with laughter as Jet and his four siblings bring joy to the visitors of the cafe. Boots, Tyrion, Nabi (butterfly) and Zoey make a quintet ready for mayhem, fun and snuggles.

Jet is our selfie this week.

Many readers will remember that I am trying to improve my cat action photos. Sometimes I seem to get better but other times I capture the fun but it’s more out-of-focus that ever. Like these of Jet.

Jet Takes a Leap Towards Happiness

A wand toy in flight.

Why share the photos then?

Because they show you how amazing a kitten is as it flies though the air after a wand toy.

Below Jet you can see his brother Boots, and the cat cafe’s boss cat Tiger Lily who is in the tunnel looking at the acrobat as he flies.

Ken, the cafe’s resident cat dad, and mean sushi maker, makes the wand toy file like a tiny demon with Jet in hot pursuit. Doesn’t the small black cat look amazing?

How much of this activity would you see without a camera to capture it?

This last photograph is the luckiest cat photo ever. Jet leaps up like a small rocket and you can see his paws on either wide of the feather toy.

Have a wonderful Sunday. Your prayers for Shawnie after the loss of her partner Alan are much appreciated on Twitter too. Thank you.

  1. If you have kittens (and sometimes cats), you will always take an action photo, even if it doesn’t turn out. I, too, love the last photo. It was almost impossible to get photos of the girls when they were kittens because they were all over the place.

  2. Oh, my! Those are quite the moves!
I was drawn to the title of this post, and glad to have had the opportunity to read.
It certainly did make me smile. Given the current climate, we need more cause to smile.
I hope the café doesn’t lose too many visitors due to Covid-19.

  3. I have four black cats, and can’t imagine life without them. I’d adopt Jet in a heartbeat. I just love black cats for their intelligence, and their personalities. I hope Jet finds a wonderful forever home. Who says black cats don’t photograph well? You disproved that, Marjorie!

  5. Those are some great photos of Jet. We also struggle with getting motion shots and have the same camera, albeit an older crew to work with. We will let you know if we suss it out

  6. We love the action shots as much as your stills. Acrobatic cats do it with so much style, don’t we 😉
