Here in New Zealand, we have reached the end of a road that ‘goes ever on’ you might say, with the opening of The Hobbit ‘Battle of the Five Armies’.  There is a tinge of sadness at the end of such a momentous journey, especially as it has brought so much to New Zealand – creativity, excitement and pride in this beautiful country. (Thorin’s Map)

Peter Jackson, with gifted colleagues like Tanya Rodger and Richard Taylor of Weta made us the Middle of Middle-Earth. We are very proud of them.

We’ve been fans of The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings trilogy for a long time, possibly a hundreddy eleven years. Looking forward to the next movie. And on my bucket list? A trip to New Zealand.
