We came across some amazing high tech toys in the most amazing place on our visit to Kansas City for BlogPaws®. We are thankful we can share them with you and Brian’s family on Thankful Thursday!

Damned Lies and Statitstics

We visited Union Station (subject of an upcoming post!) and discovered an exhibition we had managed to miss when it was in our own ‘back garden’ in Wellington ‘The Art of the Brick‘. Did you know Lego can be lit from behind.

Nathan Sawaya has created the most amazing sculptures (OK maybe there is another post in here too!) including this stained glass window.

Stained Glass Union Station The Art of the Brick

The ‘window’ is thousands of tiny translucent Lego blocks lit from behind. Amazing isn’t it?

We hope to see many of you for Thankful Thursday. Bronchitis kept me from visiting but this week I hope to do a LOT better!

That’s made with Legos? With LEGOS? With those kids’ toys peeps scream ’bout when they step on ’em with bare feet? MOUSES! Well it seems to me that Legos aren’t just for child’s play anymore ’cause that stained-glass Lego window is a WORK OF ART, for sure. It’s beautiful. PURRS.

OMC! My human actually wanted to see Union Station (since we have a Union Station of our own in Los Angeles), but she didn’t get around it. That looks so cool, and my human is a huge Lego fan, especially the clear blocks.
