Back to Neko Ngeru! I wanted to show you more of the new cats at the Neko Ngeru Cat Adoption Cafe as the Dash Kitten Crew join Brian and his family on Thankful Thursday. I am thankful that the cat cafe near me is such an amazing one.

Neko Ngeru Cat Adoption Cafe
Meet staff cat Chenzou, keeping an eye on my biscuit!

Richelle and Ken Okada who own the cafe at Neko Ngeru are doing a wonderful job. They welcome visitors, cats for adoption and also sell the cutest Japanese cat stuff that is ‘oh so tempting!’

I am thankful that I can visit every couple of weeks for a coffee delicious cake and some cat time with the felines up for adoption. Cat cafe laws are obeyed to the letter, and the cat cafe cost for visitors is modest and reasonable.

Neko-Ngeru Fred and George
Fred and George the gorgeous ginger twins.

The adoption element of the cafe is a success. Cats come in for a trial introduction to see if they can cope with the social side of being in the cat cafe. It is rare to find one who isn’t comfortable but the cat’s welfare and wellbeing are paramount and each cat is allowed to decide for themselves if they want to be at the cafe.

Neko Ngeru Cat Cafe Feeding Time
There is so much to see. What is happening at feeding time?

Visitors can book online for the cafe, and booking closes the day before to allow for walk-in customers. It is such a lovely place, and it reminds me of the cat cafe I visited in Paris.

Neko Ngeru Cat Cafe

The cat cafe layout is relaxed with an easy ambience. There are snacks and delicious drinks and friendly cats who adore playtime and climbing the wonderful cat tree and wall perches.

We created a Neko Ngeru video last year for the cat cafe

Welcome to Neko-Ngeru! The Dash Kitten Movie Crew

Have a wonderful week everyone!

A cat adoption cafe…one of the best ideas I’ve honestly ever heard! People rant and rave about animal cafes but it’s ones like this that really make the difference – don’t just come see out cute cats – give one a good home! It’s such a fantastic idea, what a great place. It’s nice because in a shelter, the animals might be really afraid or nervous or something- but in a cafe (relaxed setting) you can enjoy a cup of tea and the cats are comfortable and content. You can really see a cat’s true attitude in this kind of setting and it’d be easy to spot one that you love! I am going to see if there is anything like this around my area!

What a wonderful place! I remember seeing a Shark Tank episode where a lady from Florida wanted to open the first of a chain of cat cafes that looked just like this. I thought it was a great idea because it encourages people to come and relax in a home-like environment to ensure the cat they adopt is the right fit for them. Better for the cats too, because, let’s be honest, I’d like to live there! Looks awesome!

This appears to be such a wonderful place for both humans and cats. I still haven’t visited the new cat cafe that opened this year about 8 miles from us. Your post reminded me that I need to get off my backend and go there.

What a magical place this is! I so wish I could visit, but I’ll share for any of my readers who are able to visit New Zealand and stop off for a coffee, a snack, & some kitty love! I hope they do really well here, it’s such a great service for the cats and for people who want to adopt. I love this.

I think Cat Cafes are such a great idea and this one looks beautiful- love the cakes and all the places for the cats to climb etc. I wish there was more flexibility in Ontario but we have laws against having pets and food together. You need a special license. We had one cafe with adoptable cats but it closed. Now there is one called Meow cat cafe that serves coffee and has the owner’s cats you can play with and lots of cute cat themed merchandise for sale.

Love this idea… I keep toying with a similar one for toy dog breeds… There is a cat cafe here in Ottawa. Use to be two but one closed. 🙁

Cake and cats are a perfect combo! I’ll have to see if the one here offers cake. I was just talking today to a friend about going to the cat cafe again! t

I’m incredibly envious! I miss having cats, but based on the pups’ reactions to cats on TV…we were going to watch Keri, but the trailer made both pups bark like crazy…I won’t have cats any time soon. Being able to spend time with some in such a relaxed cafe setting would be such fun!

I’m glad it is so successful! It seems like they really put the needs of the cats first (as they should), and it looks like humans would really enjoy it too. Those cakes are so cute!

I absolutely love that places like this exist! I’m pretty sure your previous post led me to search for dog cafes and I found the LA Dog Cafe, getting an opportunity to visit in 2017. This concept is truly PAWsome!

Every town should have a cat cafe! I love the music that you have in the video…it’s catastic! 🙂

I need to visit the cat cafes near my house. Actually there are two new ones in the city I have to check out. Always money well spent! Those ginger cuties are adorable. If I had money like Oprah I’d have a cat sanctuary!

What a great idea, and how thoughtfully done for the cats’ benefits as well! That looks like a wonderful place to hang out and sip coffee.

Such a lovely idea and how lucky are you to go every two weeks or so? I’m glad to read that it is a success for the cats and they get rehomed. Such a brilliant idea.

This cat cafe looks marvelous! Our mom just loves visiting cafes, and this reminds her to make arrangements for another visit.

Your video is fun, Miss Marjorie! Mom and I love the idea of cat cafes. There is one in Portland, ORE-gon that she hopes to visit real soon. That is the closest one she thinks there is to us. She wishes that there were cats in all types of businesses so she’d always get her cat time in even when she is away from me. Hugs!

What an awesome cat cafe! I doubt my human will ever make it to NZ (although who knows? It’s just that she would have to leave me home), but it would definitely be on her list of places to visit.
