We are having a celebration of summer here at the blog! Before we dive into our next big tech feature on making movies we are celebrating wiith some sunshine and cats for Thankful Thursday and Brian’s family. Join us for a lovely blog hop where we take a moment to reflect on the good things, no matter how small they might seem.
But first, a PSA about Sadie. Brian Frum blogged about her here. Sadie needs shares and help.
She is blind and was dumped callously on a bitterly cold night over a fence in a garden known to have a Rottweiler in residence. Found by a neighbour she has a VERY temporary haven. Here speaks her rescuer:
“Sadie is enormously sweet. Everyone who meets her says so. But her clock is ticking for a home. My husband is bedridden and I am not able to take on another kitty. I have had blood work done for her and she is FIV and FeLeuk negative. I am also boarding her at a vets office but funds are running low to keep her there. I am afraid the shelter will euthanize her if she is taken there because she is blind.“
Our Summer Celebration in New Zealand
Meet some of the fur family out catching some rays in the garden! We are thankful for the warmth and sunshine. Enjoy our pictures.
This has been an exceptional summer for us and Jack’s solar eczema has been a challenge but he is OK thanks to as much pet friendly sun cream as we can manage. Even the pet friendly cream stuff is a challenge, after a couple of treatment he becomes nervous and runs!
First, Meet our Solar Eczema Kitty Jack
Jack is also featured in our latest book review. You might want to read it as we love the book featured. He suffers in the sunshine (in spite of us trying to sun cream his nose!)
Here’s Sienna our Tortoiseshell
Sienna is daddy’s girl. She loves sitting on his lap and demands a stroke. This can be tough on dad as he often sits on the sofa setting his crosswords for the national dailies in Great Britain. Oh and dad has a blog too for crossword fans so go say hi if you love a good cryptic.
Here is youngster Phoebe
Phoebe has not been blogging much recently because she has been having such a blast in the garden these past few weeks. She may be a dark longhair but she has plenty of good sense and enjoys the shade much more than the sunshine.
Finally, our active runabout Silver Kitten
He is brofur to blog editor Miranda Kitten and loves to jump, as you can see in the picture below his portrait. He spends most summer time enjoying the garden so we are glad he has his Tabcat tracker (see the little sliver of blue under his chin?) so we can work out where he is. We don’t often express how thrilled we are with something but we LOVE that little cat tracker.
Here is the piece de resistance!
Our active young silver tabby will leap a building with a single bound! OK, it’s a high wall but take a look at this! If this isn’t an active young tom cat then we don’t know what is!!
