Wellington Harbour can be an adventure!
In late June Wellington and its Harbour suffered major storm damage from the worst storms in 30+ years. One of the victims was the railway line into Wellington from the Hutt Valley – it was put out of action for a week! This is the railway line Dad uses every day to commute to work and if you look, you can see that at several points the railway line is this close…..
… to the harbour water! It’s OK to breathe in guys, we do too.
Yeah the image of the railway edge is blurry but the train would not stop for Mum! She took these pictures when she visited town so we can show you how close the train goes to the water’s edge! Pawsome eh? She says the guys who mended the railway after the recent storm are real heroes too.
Wellington Harbour can be calm, dazzling stormy, murky and muddy or a deep dark blue.
