This is our meet the fur family page.
Welcome, it’s nice to see you. Here you will meet Marjorie Dawson, Pet Blogger, and the rest of the cat family who live the good life in New Zealand.
Dash Kitten Founder Cat and International Blogger. Passed away on 6th September 2013 after a dog attack. He founded the blog to foster unity amongst anipals, and to help those in need. His work carries on with commitment, integrity and well researched honesty..
STAFF Dusty is one of our Senior cats and speaks about becoming part of a larger family, and senior issues.
TRAINEE Phoebe the Kitten youngest member of the family, loving, a chatterer, and outgoing. Phoebe tries very hard to pay attention, sometimes it even works!
Marjorie Dawson, Pet Blogger
Sienna, middle cat of the family. Returned to the vet as ‘feral’ she proved to be a sensitive carer of Dash Kitten, realising his micro-opthalmia inhibited his play style she tailored her games accordingly. She misses her friend.
Dot Kitten sisfur to Dash. Not the thinnest of the bunch but a loving cat who took up the yelling where Dash left off. She doesn’t usually wander far from home and is a tabby and we love her. She doesn’t blog, leaving that to her more energetic siblings!
Jack The Ginger Boy Another of the ‘smaller’ cats 😉 Jack is loving and quiet with a peaceful heart. He visited from a neighbour and never returned. The neighbours, sadly, divorced and Jack might not have come out of it very well – so we are glad he joined the family. He is another cat who loves the great outdoors – although he suffers from solar eczema which causes some skin damage (Filta-Bac is our protection of choice – if it stays put..)
Natasha Another member of the Upper Hutt Animal Rescue company that joined our family. As we fostered her Mum Tawai, and her siblings, we actually have pictures of her kittenhood so can embarrass her with baby pictures! Natasha is stockier in build than her sisfur and brofur on the blog and totally fearless in her exploration of the world at large.
Peanut crossed the Bridge on 5th September 2015
PEANUT wearing her @MizzBassie handmade beaded collar
Littie ‘Un Helms our Rainbow Bridge Contingent. She left us aged 15 years, a victim of bone cancer. A loving and solid rock she was a calming influence on the family members and only had friends she hadn’t met.
NEMO our hospice foster who came to us and was greatly loved by everyone. RIP Nemo.
