Hi guys, we have a really special Middle-Earth Monday today! Spring brings warm but rainy days that can keep a kitty inside and apart from snoozing what’s a kitty to do? Well, we do puzzles in our house! Dad is a professional Crossword Setter, he creates (they call it ‘setting’) cryptic crossword puzzles for national daily papers in Great Britain, as well as the widely read BBC Music Magazine.
To honour our Founder Cat, Dash Kitten, Dad created a special crossword puzzle. It was meant to have been published on the 6th of September, Dash’s anniversary, but was moved to the 13th, a week later. So, if UK readers can find a copy of The Independent dated 13th September 2014, you will find Dash’s puzzle in a printed edition of the newspaper – try your local library.
- SUPER SPECIAL SCOOP! For those of you who are unable to get a copy of the paper, we are able to email a copy of the Paw Dee Eff (pdf) so you can give the puzzle a try. PLEASE NOTE :- The pdf is a super special one-off created for regular DashKitten.com readers. Please leave a comment and we will be in touch to confirm your email address and send a copy.
- The solution grid will be printed in the newspaper towards the end of September, so we will post about it, along with an insight into how the puzzle was created, by one of the best in the field, our Dad – aka Phi.
See you next Middle-Earth Monday!
