We thought we would introduce you to the odd part about international pet blogging month here New Zealand. Believe it or not it’s Spring here, veggies are beginning to grow in the garden, daffodils are in bloom and it’s getting warmer, just as the USA begins to prepare for chills and Halloween!
So, it’s not just the time difference that confuses many, the weather is back to front as well. That means we celebrate Christmas when it’s warm, and shiver while the USA and Europe melts in its summer temperatures! This takes a bit of getting used to, and pals in the US often forget we are not snuggled up against the cold when they are! Australia is often even hotter, and families spend Christmas Day on the beach, or having a barbecue outside in the garden. Now how would you like that instead of snow!
While the Northern Hemisphere prepares to tuck into comfort food, tasty noms and awaits Halloween and Christmas in chilly temperatures, here in New Zealand temperatures are creeping up into the region of C17 (F62) and the sun is warm enough for mum and dad to garden in tshirts!
I know that pet bloggers have been stressing safety for pets and pals all through the summer months, now it is us who have to follow the same advice, keeping ourselves comfortably cool, not getting hot in cars and keeping fit and healthy. We have loved hearing about your summer, now we can enjoy one of our own!
