OK we may be running in circles but we are joining the Thursday Blog Hop with Brian and his family with a lot to be thankful for.

Our Dad had a severe viral infection then, when he went back to work, he took a nasty tumble on the pavement (it was raining heavily) and smashed himself AND his glasses. Eeeep We don’t think August is his favourite month anymore πŸ˜‰

Thankful Thursday

Running in Circles and Hurricane Harvey

The world watches as Hurricane Harvey sweeps across Texas. It has pushed politics aside as people rescue other people and animals are pulled from shelters before they are destroyed.

Because of this we are linking with our friends in the USA Melissa and her kitty Mudpie, and Layla and her mom, to host an auction to fundraise for Austin Pets Alive who are pulling cats and dogs from flooded shelters. We have a page of links here!

Austin Pets Alive

The Auction is on Auction4PetSupplies and there is an event on Facebook where there are lots of links and pictures.

Running in Circles with our Movie Challenge

We have a whole bunch of movies for our August movie challenge! Each person will receive an acknowledgement now Mum has her act together.

The crew has also decided to extend the deadline until 5th of September due to this Harvey business and the fact the auction is a major project and Mum is not one of life’s organisers.

So thank you to Brian for hosting this lovely weekly hop which is always a joy yo visit. Can we also thank everyone for their comments on Place for Cats blog, you made them feel so welcome.

Goodness, it’s easy to understand the running in circles with all that happened! Hope all is getting back to normal. Thank you for all you do to help animals in need. With so much negativity in many directions in the last few weeks, it is refreshing to see how people have united to help the people in Texas. Thank you for your positive energy!

Hoping your Dad recovers quickly! And please remind your Mum that she lives in the land of wizards. And wizards are never late, nor are they early. They arrive precisely when they mean to. Her orgnizational skills are just right. With the good she’s putting into the world, she’s getting things done perfectly on time!

I can see why you feel like you are running in circles – what an aptly named post! You have so much going on and are doing so much to help others, you are to be commended. I’m sure like anything, when you are passionate about a cause, it isn’t work…despite feeling like you are running in circles. That’s when you know you are doing the right thing!
