Fireworks at Petone Winter Carnival (newspaper article here). The carnival is a local celebration with lots of events and activities based around Petone, which is across the bay from Wellington. Mum saw the fireworks from a boat moored in the harbour and is currently editing a mini movie of footage and photographs for my blog. She was well away from the 50,000 crowded into Petone for the firework. Yikes!
