BlogPaws Cat Lounge 2016

Ooooooh Our BlogPaws Memories!

OK, this is a not so Wordless Wednesday, we admit it! We need to share the exciting cat focused 2017 update from Blogpaws®, as we won’t be at BlogPaws 2017, some of our own 2016 memories of the amazing Cat Lounge.

2016 was the year we celebrated the growing success of the Dash Kitten blog with a visit to BlogPaws, as the very first International Ambassador! WOW, what a time we had. It was such an honour and we were thrilled to work side by side with the amazing, and superbly organised, Conference team!

A less than purrfect image, we admit, but one of our favourite BlogPaws Memories, meeting the Sphinx cats from the super fun Naked and Hungry blog.

Kate Benjamin, of Hauspanther, is the curator of the internet’s best cat collections of furniture, wearables and play things, and hosts the Cat Lounge which drew gasps from every visitor to the Exhibit Hall in Phoenix, AZ.

We were on our way to a workshop when I snapped the famous internet star and Therapy Cat, Summer, who was modelling. You can get a peek at some of the amazing cat goodies, and yes, that foliage covered confection just behind Summer’s human IS a cat tree!

Notso Wordless Wednesday
A glimpse of the Cat Lounge with star Therapy Cat, Summer, from Sparklecat.com being snapped by her human Janiss Garza.

OK Enough of the BlogPaws Memories – What’s the News?

We heard a rumour that in 2017 the Cat Lounge is to be elebenty billion times more amazing in Myrtle Beach.

As well as hosting the Cat Writers Association, there will be cat owners’ fashion, and cat celebrities. Be prepared to meet the exquisite and beautifully dressed Coco the Couture Cat who will take your breath away. We met Coco and her mum Teri Thorstein in 2016, and Coco is a true star with no equals in the feline fashion arena.

BlogPaws Memories – Our Favourite Cat Toy…..

We loved the Ripple Rug it's amazing

We loved the Ripple Rug, it was so cool, and Mum would have loved to squirrel this away in her (oh so full of BlogPaws Swag) suitcase.

We collected a lot of our BlogPaws memories if you want to share the fun later.

Hi Marjorie and the Dash Kitten crew. Hope to see all the wonders this year, and report back direct to you all the fantastic stuff. Alas most of it won’t fit into my peeps suitcase, and the airlines won’t accept trunks in the overhead lockers. Mouses!

The Cat Lounge is always a highlight for Mom L. Sadly she will not be able to go this year. But last year she did indeed WIN a pawsome Sleepypod small carrier. We donated it to my former no kill cat shelter Kitty Corner

Such wonderful memories! Sinead and I had just the BEST time last year. We can’t join in the fun this year, due to my blasted leg injury and my ongoing healing, but we hope to be back and even better in 2018!

I have a feeling that I’ll find a few things that my Maltese will like in the cat lounge. Hopefully, you will be able to attend in 2018.

We won a raffle prize from the cat lounge last year! Yes, dogs can use cat things too…. or at least Mr. N can! I made Mr. N take selfies.

Just love all of the BlogPaws that I’ve attended – and so to have a wrap up reminds me of the joyful moments I’ve had, and the great people who participate! I can’t wait for next year – I’m attending again (this year I had to miss – so that makes me a bit sad)!

Marty, there was a time when I said I would never get to BlogPaws, and learned never to say never. It might happen one day. We hope to meet you when you get to BlogPaws!

I wish I could get the time off work to go. That’s the trouble for us. As much as I know we would learn tons and enjoy ourselves to bits… I can’t get the time off.

Oh, that ripple rug looks really cool! I can see cats having a lot of fun with that. We are looking forward to seeing all that the cat lounge has this year. I think it’s so exciting that you were able to attend all the way from New Zealand, but too bad you won’t be there this year!

I’ve had my eye on the Ripple Rug too! I’m so excited to be going to the conference again this year – and my excitement at meeting Erin’s Dad (and a few more people) pretty much overwhelms my anxiety at going 🙂 I wish you were going again too, Marjorie. Bear and I send our love to all of you – and purrs for healing to Dusty.

Thanks for the shout out! You are one of Coco’ biggest fans and it was a delight meeting you at the 2016 conference! We will miss you this year, but will be sure to take lots of pictures! We are very excited about our involvement with the cat lounge this year and did you hear? Our whole cat family is going to attend, dress up and make many new friends! Our little corner of the Cat Lounge will show how the Cat-Human bond is enriched by the active social life we have!
