The New Zealand Christmas Tree

Welcome to our Pohutakawa Tree Sunday Selfie. Today’s Selfie is a short video Mum took last Friday when she visited Wellington. It was done using the Vee app, using music from wonderful web site incompetech.com

The trees are a type of Pohutakawa, and you can read about them here in an earlier blog post.  You may recognise the wonderful tree in bloom we are using as a header, from that post. Isn’t it amazing!! We hope you enjoy our short movie showing the tree and the Law Building which is part of Victoria University of Wellington.

Pohutakawa Tree Sunday Instagram News!

We will report on our experience on Middle Earth Monday, with tips for keeping your own IG account safe – if you have one.

Our last picture, before we were hacked, was a share of Jazzman, a Twitter buddy whose dad passed away some time ago. It saddened us to see that our sweet, funy, and totally rad’ friend has passed to join his complex, and very human dad.  The dad who took Jazzman on has been grieving too. RIP Jazzman.

That tree is a real beauty. Absolutely gorgeous. And I’m so sorry to hear that you were hacked! Nasty business, that. I’m glad you have control once more. I hope it wasn’t too hard to get back!

Stunning is just about the best way to describe that lovely tree. We do envy such displays, especially as our own garden is tiny and miserable and cold. Have a fab week. purrs Erin

What a beautiful tree! And we love how the bright red color popped so much against the crisp blue sky in your video. 🙂
