Two weeks ago we posted Sunday Selfie pictures of Beth who we met while visiting the Wellington waterfront area. Beth’s mum gave us permission to post the pictures of her lovely girl and then got in touch and offered us some more pictures and information. As it is really interesting I thought Selfie visitors would like to hear more about this young kitty girl, and what is important about her for Helen.

Introducing Beth

Beth’s mum is Helen Baynes and Helen is seriously allergic to cats but, and it’s an interesting but, Beth, who is nine months old this week, is an extremely low allergen-tested Siberian cat. This breed can – but doesn’t always – produce lower allergen cats great for those who suffer from cat allergies. Beth is from Seacliffe Siberians and you can see a picture of her on their web site, as well as find out more about the breed.

Helen has sent us some pictures of Beth out on her walks, which we are thrilled to present here as a slideshow for you! Before visiting others on the Sunday Selfie blog hop with The Cat on my Head, please enjoy this lovely girl out and about on her harness! You can also see the waterfront area here in Wellington which Beth enjoys  visiting.

That’s fascinating! I’ve never heard of that breed’s special abilities before. How wonderful to think that our allergic friends might be able to enjoy life with a pretty kitty like that!

That’s wonderful that Helen can have a cat if she has such severe allergies. Sounds like Beth is a perfect match.

My sister has asthma and is also allergic to cats, but is owned by 3 Siberians, and she doesn’t have breathing issues with hers, either.
