LouThree Lou from Live Love Leow

UPDATE 27 April 2013 On a cold and rainy Memorial Week-end I am told Lou is charming his temporary host and hostess in his cosy Purrito – safe indoors.  On Tuesday Sass is going transport and job hunting – as well as finding a solid base for her and Lou to run Live Love Meow from, and aim for a more solid future and their big dreams.  Sass is genuinely moved by the support from pals in social media and heartened by the donations to her Your Giving appeal (see below).  Mum and I are not giving up on Sass and Lou, and neither are you guys. Thank You for the donations.

UPDATE  25 April 2013 :-  Sass and Lou are out of immediate danger! A family friend has a couch they can use, and they are out of the motel. This is a huge relief to them and those of us worried about their safety – Lou and Sass are together!!!  OK – Sass still needs to find a place to stay, and somewhere she can run the business from.  She says “Things are starting to look up..but, just starting to.  I still have a long way to go.” So lets keep up the encouragement and love – it means a lot to them both – Keep in touch with @LiveLoveMeow, messages are getting through, and we are making a difference. C’mon, drop a few dollars in the ‘Kitty’!

UPDATE 23 April 2013 :- OK Guys – things are moving on the Sass and Lou front thanks to @Danapixie and @Tattlecat (Herman’s Mom) The whole story can be found at the Your Giving link below.  Things are going to be tough but Sass has not given up hope and, can you imagine giving up Lou?

**

Guys, I have had a desperate email from Sass, Lou’s Mum. She is in Southern New Hampshire (USA) and in a crappy motel. The job she was flying too fell through, she has nowhere to stay and is considering putting Lou up for adoption (she is THAT DESPERATE). If you can help, even to give Sass and Lou a temporary space PLEASE let me know or contact her at @ livelovemeow on Twitter.

Can you help? Sass needs a place for herself and Lou to gather their wits and begin to cope so they can move on in their own time. She is desperate. OK as far as I can see Sass and Lou need this :-

  • First a short term place to stay and help to drive there. There may be a small chance of an artist studio so Lou can be safe BUT its a small chance.
  • A job (Sass can look she is competent)
  • Our support – both moral and maybe financial.

Some of Sass’s email : I’m in dire straits.  I just got screwed, hard, and I need to start my life over again.   I moved, and both the apartment and job I had lined up, went kaput while I was on my flight over here.  I’m currently in S. New Hampshire, USA.

I’m in a yucky motel room with Lou.  No car, no way to get around.

Unfortunately, this means that my business needs to close ……. and that Lou needs a new home.

I live in a small town in Ohio and there isn’t much around here, but we do have a large home along with 6 kitties and 2 dogs. I don’t have very much money, but if there is any way that I can help I am more than happy to! I don’t want to see anyone be separated from their fur baby!!

Update: Lou & I are, technically speaking, safe.

Lou is wrapped up in his blanket at my feet.

I have an interview for someone to foster Lou for a bit, on Saturday.

Due to the overwhelming response of the news of the closure of my business, Live Love Meow, I also have an interview for commercial space rental for sometime next week, so that Live Love Meow might not have to close after all.

JazzmanCat is working on my website, trying to ascertain why the checkout isn’t working properly, so that my website might be set to rights, and I will have an income from my business, Live Love Meow. Live Love Meow sells pet supplies.

Dana Pixie, and Herman’s Mom, have helped me to set up a fundraising site to help out with expenses. The link is: http://www.youcaring.com/help-a-neighbor/help-sass-and-lou/61747

I am crying, because I am so humbled, and so, so grateful for all the help and good wishes that I have received thus far for Lou and I.

Thank you, and bless you all.

Is there anyone in the NH are that can contact the ASPCA on her behalf? I am sure they would work with you in regards to a temp. placement for Lou! Lou looks like an awesome cat and I wish you both the best of luck and the miracles you need!! I am in Massachusetts but will keep sharing and asking for info. from those I know in the NHarea.

How Horrible!!!!! we will help spread the word and hope someone can offer her a place to stay and a job and that she can keep Lou.

Poor Lou how scary to be uprooted from your home and then maybe not have your person.

Sorry for the problems! I moved 2500 miles from Phoenix to Savannah after being laid off & accepted a new one… made the cross country move with my 13 year old daughter, dog & cat (single mom). Bought a new house that was still being built then had the job offer cancelled. Its a bitter pill to swallow & although I’m recovering slowly, the key is that I am recovering. We lived in Motel 6 for a long time but stayed together. This was 7 yrs ago. Why my story? Because I want to let you know that not all stories turn out badly… maybe to give a little hope.

I can pray for you or I can listen if you need to talk. I wish I were closer and could help you out more. Best wishes to you Sass & Lou!
